BWTS system, prefab and installation
STEP's was solicited to fabricate, supply and install a complete BWT system.
Situation:
It was received in dry dock a vessel to be updated with an Alfa Laval BWTS System (Ballast Water Treatment System), Pure Ballast 3.1.
Challenges:
Fabricate, supply and install a complete BWT system, following the master plan as described:
- Reception of Alfa Laval equipment’s and piping drawings
- Prefabrication of pipe spools
- Installation aboard of piping and equipment’s
- Electrical connection
- Mechanical interconnection
- Final tests
