Last April, to support an important Scrubber repair on board an LPG ship, in Lithuania shipyard, a group of 8 welders from STEP-Consolidated Lda team were qualified on Super Duplex steel plate.
The qualification, carried out with GMAW (Semi-Automatic) welding process, resulted in new certificates issued by the DNV Classification Society, in accordance with the code ASME IX and AWS D1.1, for the AWS group 10H (Super Duplex).
